There's nothing worst than beating a game but not wanting to move on and that's the case with Nintendo's Zelda: Breath of The Wild . This guide will provide helpful ideas to keep players planted in the world of Hyrule for more adventures. When the game released back in 2017, it changed everything about what players could expect from aZelda title. Players now had the freedom to explore almost every inch of the massive open-world at their own pace. If players wanted to, they could even reach the credits of the game in a few minutes by rushing over to defeat Calamity Ganon once and for all. It's a game that rewards freedom and being creative with its mechanics. Once a player steps foot into this world, it may be hard to want to step out. Although, there is so much to do inBreath of The Wild after completing the main campaign that will keep players locked and loaded for several hours to come. The main story is actually one of the shorter things to complete in the game, leaving much time to explore and finding every secret possible. Here are some additional things players can do after beating the main story ofZelda: Breath of The Wild.

To beat the game, all the player has to do is defeat Calamity Ganon inside of Hyrule Castle. Here, he has been sealed away and needs to be ultimately destroyed for the world to make efforts to return back to normal. Players will make this trip much easier on themselves by rescuing the Divine Beast, machines created as a defense mechanism for Hyrule. Four are scattered around in vastly different biomes around Hyrule. The full meat of the game is to rescue all of the Divine Beast, then take on Calamity Ganon, but there's still so much more to do in this world. As the player explores, they will stumble across shrines. Inside these shrines are mini-dungeons with puzzles to solve and there are over 100 scattered around Hyrule. These are not required to complete the game, but players will find themselves inside these shrines every chance they get. These can also be completed in the post-game as well. Here's what players can accomplish after beatingZelda:Breath of The Wild.

Preparing For The Sequel To Zelda: Breath of The Wild

Zelda Breath Of The Wild 2 Sequel Game Features Comparison

It's not very often whenZelda titles end of receiving direct sequels. It's been previously done with games likeOcarina of TimewithMajora's Mask andWind Waker withPhantom Hourglass, but for the most part, each newZeldaexperience is brand new with a new story and a new take on Hyrule. A sequel for the game has been announced by Nintendo that will likely have similar combat mechanics from the previous. This is a perfect chance to practice against Lynel's in the open-world and other challenging enemies. Not much is known about thisZeldasequel, but it will likely share plenty of DNA withZelda: Breath of The Wild.

Finding All Korok Seeds In Zelda: Breath Of The Wild

This is easily the most challenging side event in the game. Korok Seeds are hidden all around Hyrule in the air, under rocks, beneath rivers, and even in small patches of grass. This is only recommended for players who have the patience to pull off something like this, as there are 900 total seeds to find in the game. Finding all of these without a guide will be nearly impossible and may take the player hundreds of hours to complete, but for players who wish to spend more time within this game world, this is the perfect distraction.

While the story withinZelda: Breath of the Wildis fairly limited, there are certain events in the game that help build on the existing story. Lost memories are scattered around Hyrule for the player to find. Each time the player finds one, they will receive a cutscene showing off what our hero was up to before the calamity occurred. This is a great way to get a better look at all the characters the game has to offer and since there's only a few to find, this one shouldn't be too hard to get done.

Complete Side Quest In Zelda: Breath Of The Wild

The game contains 76 sidequests for the player to explore and teach taps into the stranger sides of Hyrule. Each sidequest comes along with its own characters to interact with and rewards the player with food or money. Look around the map for players with special markings over their heads as these will yield side quests for the player to participate in. Whether if it is putting a couple together at a heart-shaped lake or buying a house, the side quest variety is decently sized for a game like this.

The Zelda: Breath of The Wild DLC

Zelda Breath of the Wild DLC

Players can extend their time in Hyrule by looking into theLegend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild Expansion PassDLC. This DLC comes with two different packs, one that contains the Master Trials and another with the Champion's Ballad. This is more story content for the player to enjoy and continues the challenge of staying alive and being crafty. Each pack comes with new destinations to explore, bosses, weapons, armor, and a Hero's Path Mode, which lays out the steps the player has taken while playing the game. Without stepping into spoilers, the player is given an extremely cool item for completing both DLC packs. The DLC is currently available for purchase on the Nintendo eShop for $19.99 USD.

Currently, a sequel is in development forZelda: Breath of The Wild. It's going to be extremely challenging to try and top whatBreath of The Wilddid. It is likely that the sequel will have a heavier focus on its story rather than its exploration. The open-world may be a lot of what we've already seen unless they decide to change the location. Although, that does not seem likely as building an open-world that massive takes years to develop. Regardless, Nintendo enjoys taking their time in making sure the game is as polished as possible.
